PRIVACY POLICY

The following statement sets out the policy relating to the collection, storage and release of personal information in the possession of the Mason & Partners Group. The purpose of this is to assure any person or organisation involved with Mason & Partners Group that we comply with both the letter and spirit of the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.

Our Compliance with the Legislation
Mason & Partners Group takes seriously its obligation to safeguard the personal information of its candidates and its clients. The Mason & Partners Group Privacy Policy formalises and strengthens this commitment. Mason & Partners Group complied with the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) in the Privacy Act 1988.

Collection of Personal Information
Personal information is generally defined as information or an opinion that can identify a person. The type of personal information that Mason & Partners Group may collect from an individual will depends upon what dealings they have with us. Mason & Partners Group collect information from individuals directly and from authorised third parties ie: References from persons whom the individual provides as referees.

Use of your Personal Information
Mason & Partners Group respects the privacy of personal information, and therefore does not trade, rent or sell individual's personal information to any third parties. The primary purpose of our use of personal information is in the provision of suitable candidates to our clients and to fins suitable positions for our candidates.

Sharing of your Personal Information
By virtue of the very nature of our business, Mason & Partners Group must speak to candidates about clients and clients about candidates. Mason & Partners Group will not liaise with either without first gaining permissions from both parties to do so. In these cases only that information which is relevant is disclosed.

Security of Personal Information
All computer-based information is protected by security systems including firewalls, passwords and multi-level authorities. Any paper-based data is held securely and if disposed of, is shredded by a secure document shredding service.

Access to Personal Information
As stipulated under the Privacy Act 1988, individuals have the right to access their personal information that we may hold. Mason & Partners Group will handle requests for access to personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.

To request access to your personal information, please contact our offices during normal business hours. If Mason & Partners Group is able to adequately identify you over the phone, the personal you speak to may be able to provide you with the required information immediately. If not, we will ask for requests to be made in writing. Mason & Partners Group will acknowledge your request within 14 days and respond within 30 days.

If access cannot be granted to any of all of the information requested, we will inform you as to why. Some information is contained on forms and in databases with a commercial value that will not allow us to release it without re-formatting it to protect our market advantage. At no time, however, will the content or structure of the information be modified.
